One of the first two communities to be constructed in the Residential District at Dubai South is called The Pulse. The Villages is the other. The Dubai Government owns the developer, Dubai South, which is constructing thousands of houses, stores, and workplaces on a 145-square-kilometer plot near Al Maktoum International Airport. The Pulse, which is built around a six-lane boulevard, has 14 residential buildings, a collection of 236 homes, two hotels, a mosque, and a mall. The first townhouses were constructed, and they included two and three bedrooms. They were delivered in 2020. Each home has a separate entrance, terrace, and garden.

The Dubai Government's new "happy meter," which asks customers to rate their degree of satisfaction, is being used for the first time by property developer Dubai South. When enough people express their dissatisfaction with the developer's website, the government will hold the corporation accountable.

Dubai South made the decision to divide the smaller studio and one-bedroom flats from the larger two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments into these first blocks in order to foster a happy neighborhood. By doing this, it is hoped that families won't be kept up all night by people partying and that singles and couples won't be bothered by kids running around early in the morning.
